ACLD Author Gala a Huge Success!

We had a tremendous evening at the Alachua County Library District Foundation Author Gala. Our guest, Diana Gabaldon, was fantastic--gracious, witty, entertaining and a huge draw. Even in these tough times we had nearly 300 people attend. In addition, our silent auction (which included three autographed Darlene Marshall novels) raised additional monies for the library endowment fund.

We had the extra treat of having Davina Porter as a guest, and she read aloud from Outlander, and from the soon to be published Echo in the Bone. The energy level at the event was high--you could feel how glad people were to be there, attending this special gala in Gainesville, Florida.

Kudos to the Foundation Board members and the ACLD staff who helped make the evening possible, as well as thanks to our sponsors and underwriters. And a very special thank you to Diana, for coming all the way to North Central Florida to help our library.

Just got all three of your books on Kindle! Can't wait to get started!
Great! Thanks for letting me know, and for telling me you got the Kindle editions. I'm always interested in what format people are choosing when reading my novels.
