Excellent seafaring novel for young readers. I'm keeping this copy to pass along to one of the youngsters I tutor in reading. Who knows? Maybe she'll grow up to write novels about pirates!

Gabriel levered himself off the sofa and came up behind her, watching her busy, efficient hands in the mirror as she arranged the lace at her throat to hide the whisker marks on her neck.
